Here is our story in a nutshell...
Dude…we’re just gettin’ RE-started! Let me explain…
How was this podcast born? Isn’t that the main question on the table when someone starts one of these???
Well…our story begins in September 2021, on the Colorado river with two of the yahoos (See above or below) > Justin & Chad. Discussions about Faith, Family and of course…flies ended in a great afternoon on the water, but ZERO fish (Gettin’ skunked is NOT abnormal for us).
It was cool though, because we came home with something else that day.
WE HAD IT. WE WERE DONE WITH THE BS!
After a 2021…most families would want to forget…we decided life is too damn short to NOT do something you love with people you at least like.
So…Inspired by the brothers we had recently lost, we decided to pick up the pieces and reignite a project we knew they would have not only been a part of…but would be proud of.
After a couple months of hard work, re-shaping the gameplan and sharing the idea with the family…JOE OUTDOORS was born.
Then 2022 hit…Another brother lost…BIG PAUSE & NOW A RESTART.
So, here we go again…just a group of self-proclaimed PROFESSIONAL OUTDOOR AMATEURS with tons of stories, a growing following of guys and gals like us and a re-ignited passion to build a REAL community of outdoorsmen.
…Oh yeah, and a new podcast about to GO LIVE!
We are also happy to introduce Bailey (our fly tying and beard growing cohort), Brett (our resident hunting pro) and Robby (who talks all things cryptid and conspiracy on Joe Gets Weird) to the team as we continue this journey. More to come!
PS - cheers to the brothers we lost…we know we will see y’all on the rivers & trails again soon.

Co-Founder/Host & Outdoorsman, Justin (also goes by "Ebs") would literally spend all his time flyfishin' and would probably do the show from the river...if he didn't have a wife, two kids, multiple dogs, a job, this show and like 10 other projects going on at the same time.
Chad
Chad is an amazing family man and Communications tech guru when he isn't busy being a part of Joe Outdoors. He's a co-host, a co-founder, and more imprtantly a whiskey connoisseur who looks good in camo pants.
Bailey
Founder of StoneFly Outdoors, a Veteran and an Angler...Bailey leads the charge on all things Fly Tying and Beard Growing related here at Joe Outdoors. Located in North Carolina, but usually traveling around the country & fishin'!
"Tubby"
Brian aka “Tubby” is the VP of Hydration Procurement & Distribution (The Beer Guy) here at Joe Outdoors. He is also a local fireman & K9 handler for Bloodhound Man-Trackers & NecroSearch International. He uses dogs cause he has no real skills.
Robby
Crazy background for someone so young...EMT, Air Force Vet, Professional MMA Fighter (once) and practicing bushcraft/survivalist. He is our resident Cryptozoologist, Conspiracy Theorist & Head of Research for Joe Gets Weird.
Patrick
This dedicated family man's fishing skills are only outdone by his outdoor shenanigans. He is an elite level statistician by day, part-time co-host of Joe Outdoors by night…and also co-founder of the greatest ice-off fishing game ever.

Coming to you from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, each episode is a trip with this group of Outdoorsman, Outfitters and aspiring Guides who love themselves some Hunting, Fishing, Hiking & Camping...and just want to talk about it.
